    A common misconception about physics is that it's essentially math with different labels, that if you're good at algebra, physics should follow automatically. The math is necessary but it's rarely the actual obstacle; the harder skill is translating a real physical situation into the right equation in the first place, which requires understanding what's actually happening before any calculation starts.

Because the strands are fairly independent of each other, a student can be strong in mechanics and genuinely stuck in electromagnetism, or the reverse, and it's worth being specific about which unit is causing trouble rather than requesting help with physics broadly.
