Subject content at A Level assumes and builds directly on GCSE foundations but moves considerably faster and in more depth, particularly in Maths, the sciences, and essay-based humanities subjects, where independent analysis is expected rather than taught step by step. Exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and OCR set distinct specifications even within the same subject, so past-paper practice only helps if it's the right board's papers.
